Montreal: Day Three and Four

 Hello everyone,

I have really been failing you haven't i? I was supposed to write about the rest of our Montreal trip last week but since i started back at work i have been very tired! So yah!
Anyway i will tell you about the rest of the trip now if you would like? Well actually i dont care if you want me to or not... i am going to anyways!

Day Three

On Saturday (Day 3) we spent the morning walking around, we went to visit Notre Dame and took a tour of it. It is so beautiful! And we learned a lot of cool facts about it and whatnot and it was really nice to see!
Then later on in the day we walked towards Mont-Royal, stopping for smoked meat at The Main (recommended to us) and when we got to the bottom of the mountain we got onto a bus and took the bus up to Maison Smith. Then around 6 pm we registered for our snow-shoeing tour and got all ready and put our snow shoes on and then with our group we snow shoed up the mountain. It was dark and the city was all lit up and its was beautiful! I was very glad to have the love of my life there with me.
Half way up the mountain we all stopped to have homemade chocolate truffles and mulled wine! It was so good! Then we continued on our journey to a lookout you can only get to by climbing the mountain. Its a view of almost the entire city and it was unbelievably beautiful!
When we got back to Maison Smith, a very nice lady who was on the tour with us told us she would give us a ride to the nearest subway which was so sweet of her and better for us because taking a cab or public transit would have cost money lol.
After we got dropped off, we stopped at a bagel bakery and had a yummy bagel (mine with peanut butter and Taylors with butter.) Then we headed back to the hotel and then went to the bar across the road to catch the end of the Montreal game. We had one drink there and then went to another bar near by and had another drink and then went back to the hotel and went to bed because it was slightly late and we were tired.

Day Four

On Sunday (Day 4) we went out for breakfast and then to the Montreal Biodome by metro. It was a lot of fun and we saw some really cool animals! I think we were there for about 2 hours and then we got back onto the metro and took it to near the hotel. Then we decided to walk up Rue Saint Laurent and we checked out some shops even though it was the coldest day ever! The wind was whipping against us no matter what direction we walked in and out faces were freezing off. Lucky for the shops to give us a short break from the nasty cold. We stopped at a pub and taylor had a beer and i had a water with lemon and we split a piece of baileys cheesecake which was good! Then after visiting a few more shops, we walked up to Schwartz (A tourist attraction restaurant for smoked meat) which was not nearly as good as The Main and not even in the same category as Reubens!  And needless to say we got a little sick of smoked meat by this time... I think i am set for the next few years actually. lol. Also we ate so much in Montreal it was ridiculous! Delicious but too much!
Then i wanted to go swimming because our hotel had a pool that we had yet to use... so we went down to swim and found out that it was the coldest pool in existence! So i ended up going to sit in the sauna to warm myself and Taylor sat on the side of the pool to wait for me. Then we watched a bit of Myth Busters and then went to bed.

The next day i have a lot to tell you about so i will try and write about that later... i dont feel like writing any more today.

Montreal: Day Two

Hello!
I have failed you by not blogging each day that we were in Montreal to tell you about our trip but i cant help that now can i?
So i will tell you about each day in separate posts with the day as the title so you are not confused... and by you i mean future me when i go back and read this nonsense!
So anyway on day 2 we woke up and went downstairs to a pub across the street to have breaky which was delish! Then we went for a walk down Rue Saint-Catherine and visited some shops! Then we had lunch at a place called Ruebens... which was very expensive but VERY delicious! Then we went to Old Montreal and looked around and saw some very beautiful old buildings. We tried to visit Notre Dame but we arrived after 5 and it was closed so we decided to go back to it on the next day!

After old Montreal we had a bit of a tiff so i went to get my nails done (lol i know that is very stereotypical) and they are quite cool because they are filed into points like claws and the nail polish on them changes colour with my body heat! Also the nail polish lasts over 6 weeks which is awesome!!! (The pointed nails is apparently a new trend in Montreal and the nail polish just came out on Wednesday!) Anyway im glad i did get them done because i met some cool people!

After i got back from getting my nails done we went out to a pub and had a beer and listened to a live alternative/jazz band and that was really cool! And then we headed back to the hotel because we were tired!

Montreal: Day One

Hello Darlings and welcome to day one of our Montreal trip 2013!

We left home at 2am Thursday morning and got into Montreal around 930am. Unfortunately Montreal was very busy at that time in the morning and we were stuck in traffic for at least half an hour. Not only were we stuck I a crazy Montreal traffic jam but we were also having car troubles. Something to do with the transmission! Which sucks a ton and caused a lot of stress. And not only did that suck but we were being cut off constantly by crazy driving cab drivers!
Then we arrived at the hotel (Gouverneur Hôtel Place Dupuis Montréal) and we checked in and went up to the hotel with every intention of having a nap.... but the room looked like crap and we were not happy so i went to talk to the people at the front desk and they said if we paid $10.00 extra a night we could get a room upgrade.... we agreed (thank god) and went to our new room to nap! The view of the new room was very beautiful and that is probably because it was on the 25th floor instead of the 8th floor and also it was looking out over the whole city!
Despite the car trouples and being tired we made the very best of the day I feel by going out for a valentines day dinner at Saint-Hubert Restaurant. Taylor had chilly lime chicken with a side of roasted peppers and zucchini and I had a Thai chicken salad that was very delicious! Also I forgot to mention that Taylor got me a rose and a sweet card for valentines!
After dinner we continued our walk and stopped at a cafe for coffee and then back to the hotel because we were exhausted!

End of day one!

Tata for now

Coffee Buzz

Hello Lovelies!

How are you doing today? I am good... but very hyper because i have had a lot of coffee and no food yet because i don't feel like cooking. But i probably will cook in a bit because im getting a bit hungry! I am watching Friends right now because its addicting and it never gets old in my opinion... but anyway...
I am also trying to find deals for our trip with not much luck so far!
I dont have much to say... OH YAH.... I forgot to tell you that on Pancake Tuesday (Tomorrow) I am going to make crepes because i dont like pancakes! They make me nauseous but crepes dont! I will have to make them after 10ish at night because i am babysitting my adorable little cousin until 9ish! I am looking forward to it a lot a lot because she is so sweet and cute and FUN!
Also i have a lot of cleaning to do today but i don't feel like it... cleaning is dumb... i want to hire a cleaning person lol.
Okay i actually dont think i have anything else to say...
So have a good day and i might write again later!

A Little Trip

Hello my dears!

It is Sunday evening and i have spend a very lovely weekend hanging out with family! I saw my parents, my brothers, my grandparents and Taylor! So it was a good weekend indeed!
Grandma and Grandpa returned from their trip to Hawaii early this morning and then we went to their house and spent the afternoon listening to stories about their adventure and indulging in delicious and fresh chocolate covered macadamia nuts, straight from where they are grown! YUM!

On Saturday my mum and i spent the day in London and we didn't accomplish much but we had fun and i bought the book "The Hobbit," which i am excited to read and mom bought me a new car scraper because mine broke and in Canada you really need one of those EH!

Also i dont know if i have mentioned this yet but i finally watched ALL the Lord Of The Rings Movies and LOVED them! So now i feel that i MUST read the books and i will start with the Hobbit obviously! In case you wanted to know lol!

Now i'm sitting down drinking a cup of tea (My favorite tea which my mom bought me called Caramel something... i will tell you later!) and obviously writing in my blog, and also trying to plan a short 5 day trip to either Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa or Niagara Falls or somewhere, for the 14th (Valentines Day) to the 18th (The day before i return to work). Taylor got all 5 days off work so we were super stoked about that and now excited to plan a small adventure! Also we have been working hard to sell some thing we have on Kijiji to earn money for a trip and so far have done quite well! So anyway we are rather looking forward to going somewhere! Especially around valentines day! It will hopefully be romantic and nice and swell! And i finally got Taylors V-day gift in the mail and i have 2 others for him and i am excited for him to have them!!!!!!

Wednesday i have my doctors appointment to find out my blood work results... and hopefully all is well there.... So wish me luck please!

Also we are having car troubles again with our Saturn... Big surprise there... There is a leak and whatnot, and i dont know details but Taylor is figuring it out! I would actually be surprised if there wasnt a problem with our cars. hehe.

Other than what i have already said i don't think i have much else to tell you. So have a good day everyone and i love you all very much... And since Taylor is probably the only reader of this... I love you so unbelievably much, you are my everything!

One last thing... I would like to mention Diana, a dear friend of my mothers and a lovely person who was in my life since i was very very young, who passed away 3 years ago today.
It doesn't seem like that long.

Dead Arm and Anger At The Government

Hello Loves,

How are you on this lovely Monday afternoon?
I'm Grand!
So I will start this blog by telling you about this song that i am in fricken love with! Its called "Today," by Joshua Radin! I love the live acoustic version especially because it is so adorable!
Anyway you should listen to it if you have the chance! I think i want it to be our wedding song lol!

On another note, my arm is dead... it is dead because i had to get blood-work done this morning and it was not pleasant and now my weenis's pit is bruised and it is not lovely. But i think i will likely survive, although who can be sure?

ON ANOTHER ANGRY NOTE THAT I AM MAD ABOUT... The government is ridiculous... I went on the 22nd of January and paid $75 to get my G class license and NOW they want me to renew my license before the 22nd of February for $90... WHAT THE HECK? Those money leeches! Leeching my money and whatnot! GAH!

Anyway i will stop talking about that now and tell you about my weekend!

Saturday:
Morning/Afternoon:
My Dad, my Mom, Taylor, and I went to my Aunt Bessie and Uncle Franks house for lunch and we had a marvelous time! We got to catch up with them and here tons of amazing stories and we got to read poems and stories about life that Aunt Bessie had written! And we got to see old pictures and learn about our family history! And Aunt Bessie made us copies of pictures and of letters! We had pizza for lunch and we got to see the beautiful artwork that Aunt Bessie does and it was so beautiful! She is so unbelievably talented! She gave Taylor and I a picture she made to hang in our home! I feel so blessed to have these people in my life. They are the type of people everyone should surround themselves with! So welcoming, and friendly and filled with life and love. And at eighty-something years old, so young at heart and spirit! They truly glow. I am a very very lucky person to know them.

Late Afternoon:
Mom and Dad came to our place for tea and a visit and dad helped us put up a towel rack and our new picture from Aunt Bessie. And Mom helped me do my dishes! (I could not ask for better family either!)

Evening:
Taylor and I drove to Ingersoll and we went straight to Delcinea's dads house and we met our friends there! Then we all walked to the restaurant and there were about 15 of us there! We had dinner and beer and Taylor and I Split a Ceasar salad and a turkey club sandwich and some Rickards Red beer. Then we all went back to Delcineas and hung out and partied there and it was lots of fun! Also i wore my pants that i told you about in a previous blog! They were a hit and i decided i love them! lol

Sunday:
Evening:
Anna, Brad, Craig, Taylor and I went to a pub near our house for the Super Bowl. I don't really like football all that much but i liked the half-time show because it was beyonce and she brought the girls from destiny's child out and it was awesome and very nostalgic! It was a good time for all :)

Anyway my dears... That is all i have to say for now...

Twenty-Two

Good Afternoon Loves!

Yesterday was my 22nd birthday as you know and it was a very lovely day!
On the way to my birthday lunch!
Taylor and i woke up around 9:00ish and had a coffee and i opened presents from him and then Taylor and his mom surprised me with lunch at a very nice restaurant called "Dean Michaels." It was delicious and very nice of them! Then Taylor and i went to my mom and dads to hang out for the afternoon and we played scrabble with my brothers which was awesome because i love scrabble... even though i literally ALWAYS lose! But thats OK! Then we had dinner which was taco salad by my request and these Mexican chicken roll-ups that my mom surprised me with! (A very eat-y day!) And then i opened presents from my parents and brothers and got a card from my grandma and grandpa! And then we had desert which was pink lemonade pie (Moms specialty and my request) And that was very delicious only at that point i was filled to the very brim! And then we all hung out and chatted and just had a nice relaxing evening and tea!
Rocket in his pretty bowl!

Also i got a fish from my brother Tim! Its name was going to be "Nicer Taylor" because that is just plain funny... but we changed the name to "Rocket."

Also is it just me or do Beta Fish kind of look like they are upside down fin-wise?

Rocket who slightly looks upside-down!
Oh and on another note i want to say something before i forget!!!! I dont know if you all watch new girl or not but it is awesome and in the last episode NICK AND JESS FINALLY KISSED!!!! It was a good kiss like a Penelope kiss! (A Penelope kiss means a kiss similar to the kiss at the end of the movie "Penelope," Between James McAvoy and whoever the girl who plays penelope it! Its an amazing watch-over-and-over-again kind of kiss!) Anyway thats about it for that!

Also i wanted to discuss that i went to the doctor on Wednesday and I apparently might have a thyroid thing going on like my mom... But thats all i am going to say on that topic until i know more after blood-work and everything!

I don't think i have anything left to say... OH YAH... i signed my contract for work this morning... so i officially am going to be working again on Feb. 19th.... So definitely no Ireland...

Birthday photo!
Also i FINALLY received unemployment today so that is very good news and quite a relief!

Tomorrow is Zach and I's birthday party at Delcinea's. It should be pretty fun :)

Ok that really is all now!

Love Always
