Freaking Out

Taylor and I at Disney on Ice!

Hello Everyone,

How are you today? I am freaking out... I don't want to go back to work... I don't want to feel the way i did when i worked there before for the six weeks. Bored. Tired. I don't want to feel like crap and i don't want to have less time with Taylor. I dont like that for half of the month i have to wake up at 5:30 am to and dont get home until 4:45 pm and then have to go to bed at 9:00 pm to be rested enough for the next day. And half of the month having to go to work at 3:30 pm and working until 3:13 am... Just to sleep until 2:00pm and go back into work right away afterwards... Where is my life outside of work? The weekend i guess.. if there is no overtime shift...

Its not that im ungrateful for having this great paying job... but look at what i have to sacrifice! I know so many people wanted the job that i have and i should be so thankful for it... but i feel so lonely and so bored while i work and then i feel so tired when i get home.....

21 Days until i go back to work... Less than a month. 3 Weeks. I am not ready to face an entire year of this. I feel panicked. Its silly... i know... I'm not going to war or something but i feel such anxiety over it...

Okay i am just going to relax... Yes that is what i am going to TRY and do....

I will tell you about my day.

I called my Grandma on my dads side and had a lovely conversation with her :) I always like talking to her because since she lives pretty far away i don't get to see her that often. Then i went to the mall and i spent my H&M gift card that i got for my birthday from my aunt, uncle and cousin, on some weird pants (that im not sure i want to keep yet! lol) and these pictures are the exact pants, from the H&M website... so you get the idea of how weird they are...and two button up shirts that are very basic but very nice.

And i got Boots (our cat) a self-moving laser pointer and she loves it! Its so funny because she turns into spider-cat and defies gravity! lol...

Also i got Taylor and I these tupperware things that are meant for cereal and milk or yogurt and oats. They have a top and a bottom compartment and the bottom one goes in the freezer and the outside freezes and then you can keep milk or yogurt cold for the day if you don't have a fridge to use. It also comes with a nifty foldy spoon that lives in the lid of the top compartment! They are pretty useful and cool and mine is purple and Taylor's is green. Which is nice of me because green is my favorite colour!

I also got more Tupperware in general because it was on sale and Taylor keeps bringing the ones we have to work and losing them all! What a Silly Billy!!!

Have you guys heard the song "Merry Go Round," By Kacey Musgraves? Its really good! Its a country song so if you like country... definitely listen to it!

Also i dont believe i mentioned the events of Saturday and Sunday! So i will tell you now!

Saturday

Delcinea, Zach, Jon, Taylor and I went to "The Works" burger joint but Eliesha had to work so she couldn't make it for dinner. It was delicious as usual! I had a burger called "Crappy Tire," and it was a beef burger with this spicy red sauce on it and then a grilled pineapple slice and a lot of brie cheese, on a whole wheat bun! It was so bloody delicious! Too bad we kinda all promised not to get the same burger twice or i would get it next time! Also when i say spicy... i dont mean that spicy... because i dont like things that are too too spicy!

Anyway then after the works we met up with Eliesha and we went back to our place and had a few drinks and played cranium and it was so much fun!!! A really great night!

Sunday


Taylor and i got to mom and dad's around 11:00 am and we hung out and around 12:00 pm, My Aunts and Uncles arrived and we had lunch pretty much right away! Which was roast beef and potatoes and carrots, and homemade bread and pasta salad and it was delicious! Then i got to open presents! And i got a gift card to H&M and a gift card to Victoria Secret, and a beautiful scarf that Grandma made and a shirt and these beautiful plates and bowls that i am in love with! I will show you them too... one minute! Okay here they are! Aren't they beautiful? Because i think they are! Anyway after presents we had moms homemade chocolate cheesecake with oreo crumble crust and it was delish!
Then Aunt Connie, my cousin Caitlin, my Mum, Taylor (Not completely willingly) and Myself got in the van and headed to see Disney on Ice! Which you should all be jealous of because it was awesome! (I am a huge Disney fan)... Anyway it was a great day!

Tomorrow I have a doctors appointment and I am going to be hanging with my mummy, and maybe going to get more dishes for my set! Other then that i have nothing to say, so i love you all to pieces and so does Boots, (I know because she is staring at the screen right now) and if that is not love i dont know what is.

Okay GOODDAY and good riddance!

Ireland is Extremely Far Away

 Hello Readers...

So the worst has happened. Well there are worst things... but the Ireland trip is cancelled.... Yep... I got called back to work... Today... I go and sign the contract on Friday morning.

I am pretty bummed, because i was really really looking forward to it!

I go back to work starting Feb. 19th, on afternoon shift.... Its good because i will have money, and i will be able to pay off my student loans... but i have to go back to the same area as i was in before and it is very lonely and boring and it makes the shift drag on and on :(

New plan now... save up money and go to Europe in a year or so... I just dont want life to get away from us and i dont want to end up going to school and getting a career, and getting married and having kids... and growing up without traveling... That would be sad!

Anyway i just wanted to write that because its obviously what is on my mind right now!

Ireland is Far Away

Hello my dears,

How are you today? I am well thank you... only a tad annoyed because i could get called back to work sooner than expected... and i know you are thinking... Isn't that a good thing? Well yes it is BUT it could mean putting our Ireland plans on hold! Sucks right?  I dont know what our plan is at this point... but I hope it is that we can go to Ireland from Feb. 17th to March 10th and then I can be called back to work right afterwards! It would be a total downer to go back to work right now. Our Ireland trip is indeed far away!

Anyway putting that aside...

Taylor and I both got our G class license! I got mine on Tuesday January 22nd and Taylor got his Thursday January 24th! We are very happy and relieved because we dont have to do anything else regarding licensing until we are eighty!

Hmm what else?

Oh yes... this weekend on Saturday, Taylor, Delcinea, Zach, Eliesha, Jon and I are hanging out and going to a restaurant called "The Works." It is extremely delicious and filling and the atmosphere and awesome! Here is the link to the website... ---->The Works<---- a="">

 So we are looking forward to that! Also on Sunday my mom is having a family birthday party for me at noonish and then in the afternoon my mom and Aunt Connie and my cousin Caitlin and I are going to Disney on Ice! Which i am also extremely excited about!!! Wouldnt you be? Because I AM!

Then next week guess what is coming up? MY BIRTHDAY! I will be 22! Crazy eh? I know! January 31st! I am mostly looking forward to it but sorta not because 22 seems so old and i feel so young. I guess 22 is young but it doesnt feel that way!

Also February 2nd i have a birthday party to look forward to at Delci's house and its a combo birthday because Zach and I are both January 31st people! So that should be a lot of fun too!

Today i cleaned the office in our house and its about time because we have lived here for almost 3 months now and it wasnt unpacked yet and there were ugly cardboard boxes everywhere... but not anymore! Thank gosh!

Also Valentines day is coming up!

Tonight i think i want to relax because of the busy week ahead... but i also kinda want to go to the movies with Taylor. I will have to see if i can convince him to go... he hasn't wanted to the movies lately... but maybe if i promise to watch the Hobbit he will take me to the movies...

I have never seen Lord of The Rings though so i might not understand the hobbit... Maybe that is what we could do tonight? Watch the trilogy!

Okay i think i have gone on enough for one day!

Waiting For The News

Good morning everyone!

I am told today there will be a big announcement about the place I work at noon! The prime minister will be there and rumour has it that it's good news! Hopefully this means a lot I people are been hired back! But that means that Taylor and I will not be able to go to Ireland this February :( We will have to wait until I have worked longer and save money and whatnot! It's okay though because that just means a longer trip when we do decide to go! And that also means I can get my student loans paid off and so That is super good news too!

Anyway I love you All and will post later with what I hear!

See You When I'm Eighty

Hello dears!

I just wanted to let you know that I officially got my G licence today and I will not have to bother with it again until I am 80! Congratulations to moi! That is all as I am writing this on my phone and my phone is dead!

Places To See

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am currently researching must-see places in different parts of Ireland and i thought i would share my research!

I'll start with Dublin because that is where we are going to be landing. So here goes! (I will write a bit about what it is and why we want to go there... also this is mainly what i want to see as Taylor is at work so i am doing this on my own at the moment... But i'm sure he would really want to see these places too!)

Places We Want To See (Rough Draft)

Dublin

Trinity College and Library

Trinity College and Library was founded in 1592 (So its a beautiful old building) Its the home of over a million books and priceless manuscripts. 

We are interested in seeing this because it has been a part of Irish culture for a very long time and It is on many Ireland Travel sights as a must-see!

Guinness Storehouse

You cannot go to Dublin and not have some Guinness or visit the Guinness Storehouse! It is a part of the original brewery! And at the end of the tour you get a free pint at the Gravity-Bar. high above Dublin's rooftops! There is no way you could miss this and we are very excited to have Guinness right in Ireland! 

O'Connell Street and The General Post Office

  A Beautiful landmark of Dublin, in the center there are many statues and monuments and it is surrounded my beautiful large and impressive houses.  It is on the widest urban street in Europe!

The National Museum of Archaeology and History

A museum of prehistoric and medieval Ireland. It must be obvious why we want to see this!

The National Museum of Decorative Arts and History in Collins Barracks

St. Patrick's Cathedral

St. Patrick's Cathedral is Ireland's largest church! It was founded in 1191 by Archbishop Comynand it was renovated between 1844 and 1869. We of course want to see this because it is a beautiful piece of history and in general a gorgeous building and a must-see!

National Gallery

 An Art museum housing artwork by, Picasso, Caravaggio, and so many more. A must see if you love art. (which i do!)

Kilmainham Gaol

(I have no idea how to say this!) It is a jail though! Described as one of Europe's most notorious prisons. 

Dublin Castle

I have to do more research, but once again this is on the  list because it is a must- see by many of Irelands Travel Websites.

Phoenix Park

The world largest enclosed municipal park. There are apparently deer running free everywhere, and there is a zoo to visit, and many historical landmarks to explore.

Maybe i will leave it at that for now... I will be researching ALL day today so i will have more information later! Also i have decided to keep a journal while we are on the adventure and i will post it all on here!!! I got the idea from a blog Taylor showed me of this guy he knows and his girlfriend traveling in south America and blogging along the way. And that is exactly what i want to do to remember this adventure!!!!!

Planning

 Hello Readers,

Taylor and I are planning a trip to Ireland. Neither of us have been to Europe before and so this is a pretty big deal! We decided to go on this trip because we have wanted to travel for some time now and as you know i am currently laid off of work... so we thought... what a great opportunity!How often in life do you have a few months with nothing to do?

Taylor found a good deal on a round trip flight on this deal website he loves and we started making plans. Taylor still needs to hear back from his work to see if he can get time off because its kind of short notice and we will be gone for at least 3 weeks!

The flight lands in Dublin Ireland but we want to explore as much of Ireland as we can manage in the three weeks we are gone!

Then i started researching hostels and i contacted my best friends grandfather who lives in Belfast to see if we could visit him for a few days! He lives near Belfast.

My family is of Irish decent so i contacted my family members that i know have been to Ireland before and have met the family we have over there. My grandfathers sister and her husband! They said that they have contact information for many of the cousins and relatives we have in Ireland! That was so exciting to hear because I would get to spend time with members of my family that i have never had the chance to meet before! I'm not sure exactly where they live yet but i will be contacting them soon to find out!

Now we need to hit the ground running and apply for our passports (which we should have applied for before now) and as soon as Taylor's work lets him know if he has it off work, we need to book the flight!

We need to either buy a backpack or two that can hold a fair amount of stuff, or possibly ask my best friends grandfather if we can bring suit cases and keep them at his house while we travel around!

We also need to look into getting good running shoes that are good for a lot of walking!

We are so excited! I will update this all the time with our planning experience because not only do i think it will be nice for us to remember but helpful to others who want to take a similar trip!
