As i have to ride the subway often now to get from one place to another, i have become curious about the ladies voice on the subway. im sure you know what im talking about...
"The next station is Bloor... Bloor Station... Arriving at Bloor... Bloor Station..."
Every Subway has the same voice so that means that it was one lady that did the voice...
But heresa few things you might want to think about next time you hear the voice...... how do you go about getting a job like that? How much do you get paid for a job like that? why does she have to repeat everything twice? (i mean lets face it... no matter how packed the subway is, you can hear what she is saying perfectly clear, as the voice is soooo loud) also im curious about what her name is.
If you have taken a ride on the super fun toronto subway (lol) im sure you have thought about what the voices name is...
I have definitely got lost in thought thinking about it in the past. In fact.. i have been known to think so deeply about the name of the subway lady that i occasionally miss my stop... or stops...
I actually came up with a life story about the subway voice (and my apologies for going on and on about this)... The voices name is Carol... she was born in toronto. When carol was 17 she realized she was a lesbian. Her parents didnt accept this, and she was forced to move out. Living on her own was a challenge.. especially at a young age.. and anyway the long of the long of it is... she needed some fast cash, and she happened to be talking on her cell phone on the subway one day, and was approached by a man named charles who is in change of the toronto subways. in the end she was able to get the job as the subway lady..
