Kale, Green Smoothies and Challenges

Hello everyone!
I am about to up-chuck. I am drinking a green smoothie which might sound good but... well ill tell you about it in a minute...

First i will tell you my challenge...

I am challenging myself in the next 30 days to do the following:

Exercise for at least 20 minutes a day (7 days a week)
Do the arms workout i found once a day (i will post this)
Have at least one healthy smoothie a day either as a meal or as a dessert (ick ick)
Have a healthy salad as a meal each day!
No Subway, Tim Horton's  Pizza, etc...
Drink a full glass of water as the first thing i do in the morning.

So please pray that i can do this until April 8th! (and hopefully beyond that as well!)

Today i made Taylor and i a very healthy dinner and i will tell you about it and also keep you posted about all the healthy meal choices i make.




Tomorrow i am going to a wedding shower and their is likely going to be yum but unhealthy things there and i will try to resist and will try to eat before i go so i wont be tempted! But i might allow myself a final hurrah! (if i drink my smoothie in the morning and drink alot of water at work and also bring some veggies to snack on)

Anyway now i will tell you about our dinner!

I started with Kale (weird hybrid between lettuce and cabbage if you ask me!) But not bad actually for something that is ridiculously healthy! (Superfood some say!) I washed it and cut it up and put it into a big bowl. (LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF MY FOOD!)
Then i cut up a royal gala apple (actually i cubed it if you want to be technical!) And put it into the bowl!
Then i added dried cranberries and sliced almonds!
Then i went to add feta but the feta i bought -even though it is not yet past its best before date- is spoiled! RUDE! and i dont have the receipt so i am rather cheesed about that! So next time i will add some feta and let you know how it goes!
Anyway i didnt have the energy to try and figure out my own salad dressing (though that is my next step!) So i added Kraft Raspberry Vinaigrette and it was perfect!
A very delish salad! But very different, so dont expect it to taste like lettuce!
I suggest you try it ASAP!!!!! PLUS ITS ALL RAW SO ITS SOOOOO HEALTHY!

Sounds good right?

Anyway then i read on Young and Raw about this green smoothie that is very good for cleansing your body, and losing weight and clearing your skin! So i made it! And it does not taste good... it kind of tastes like eating grass with a few apple chucks here and there and also the texture is very vomit-like!

Inside the smoothie there is:

Granny Smith Apple
Kale
Fresh Parsley
Lime juice
Cucumber
Ginger

I just threw it into my bullet and it turned very discusting! But after having the salad and then the smoothie, i feel so good! also i worked out for 30 mins today using a few different videos and i am feeling like a million bucks! A million very crumpled, stepped on bucks. 

So ya! I am proud of myself and i just feel very good in general! Also i believe i can do this and i think thats the main thing!

I am now sitting down and having a delicious cup of peppermint tea! YUM!
